thanks for all the info. I do have phenergan suppositories and they have

saved me from an ER trip many times! The main thing is that once the pain

gets beyond about a 7, the oral pain med is just not gonna get it under

control, even if I can keep it down. Some ER doctors understand that.

Others have some kind of God complex and are just determined that I am just

a druggy and go to the ER for fun! I have a feeling that I will be able to

get things worked out with my local hospital, it's just going to take a

little time.

I am doing better. I actually ate just a little bit of chicken on Sunday

afternoon. I'm still being very careful with my diet. I've now progressed

to having diarrhea, which always happens about 3 days after a bad

pancreatitis attack. It is normally a good sign that things are improving,

but still annoying. I don't want to take anything for the diarrhea though

because constipation is so often a very serious problem for me. I had the

celiac plexus block yesterday. It is a block that is supposed to block the

nerves around the pancreas and help with the pain. I'm not really sure if

it worked or not, but my pain did seem to be somewhat less today. However,

earlier today I felt so incredibly weak. I ended up calling my mom and

asking her to come over for a bit. I was so weak that I was afraid to take

a shower without having someone in the house. I have NEVER felt that way in

my life! I feel much better this evening. My mom was so worried that she

wanted to spend the night over here but I really was much better by the time

I sent her home. My hubby is still off work from his knee surgery but he

went to the Atlanta area with his sister to visit the other sister. I knew

he was getting stir crazy. He had knee surgery on Dec 17th and he has never

been off work this long. He also rarely gets to visit his sisters because

he only gets 10 vacation days a year. I knew the time away would be good

for him and my mom and stepdad are only 10 minutes away from me.

Anyway, I think maybe I am on the mend. Just gonna mostly chill til

tomorrow evening. I'm hoping I'll be up to going to a movie and dinner with

hubby and friends tomorrow evening.
