I too developed pancreatitis when my gallbladder was removed.

From what I've read, that is not so rare.

In some cases that's because of stones that left the gallbladder.

Nothing takes the place of the gallbladder. It was the storage tank for the

bile and other digestive juices. They are now free flowing in the system.

Cecilia, in my opinion having divisum is the cause of you having

pancreatitis. I had to have my gallbladder removed because from starving and

not digesting food my gallbladder began to get sludge in it so the doctors

removed it. I had pancreas attacks long before my gallbladder went bad.
