Guest guest
So, can you have a wheat intolerance as well as gluten intolerance? Perhaps some of my thinking it had gluten in it, was it had wheat in it? I didn't realize it was smaller than the gluten protein. Guest guest
Ok, that all makes sense. My question is, could I be celiac (reacting to gluten) AND more sensitive to wheat, meaning if the gluten didn't get through, but the wheat did, I still get a reaction. Can they co-exist, or is it like ADHD and Oppositional defiant disorder don't co-exist with autism because autism covers those diagnoses also? I have a gluten intolerance and an IgE mediated wheat allergy. Yes, if one doesn't get me, the other one almost certainly does. It's all moot, since I avoid it, anyhow. ygg

Guest guest
I didn't realize the pounding heart could be an allergic reaction. I've heard of hives and shortness of breath. I had several incidences of the pounding heart right before I realized I could have celiac. I put it off as stress. But come to think of it, I haven't had it since......or very rarely....going gf. It's all moot, for me as well, because I won't go back on it to get the "official" diagnosis. I'm happy, and I can tell people I can't have certain foods, and with my son having an official diagnosis, I should be covered.
