Swimming pools

Hi All,

I know we've touched recently on the chlorine debate. However, since it is

summer and our children love water....can anyone tell me more about chlorine

and seizures? I heard showering them immediately after contact, and an Epsom

salt bath is helpful. But, does that do anything for the chlorine they've

swallowed, etc?

Is baqaucil better?

Also consider showering them before getting in the pool. This allows

better water to be absorbed initially when dry skin and hair are

very absorbent. Some families in the Feingold group say that also

helps their sensitive kids a lot.

Chlorine is added to public swimming pools to kill bacteria. So if

your child swallows the water, consider that he might get a yeast

problem. Give lots of probiotics and/or yeast treatment.

I believe it is fine, but it would be a good idea to give him an

epsom salt bath right after swimming. The chlorine can mess up the

gut.

I don't know of any problems with swimming while chelating, but some

kids have problems from the chlorine
