Guest guest
I was sent home with instructions to empty capsules into a full liquid and swallow only very tiny pills. Fortunately that covered the meds I was taking. Did you know they sell a Calcium supplement in chewable form? It tastes good and has the Vit D with it necessary for absorption of the Ca. Caltrate 600 plus Chewables. They sell them at my local pharmacy (CVS) and WalMart. > I'm wondering how soon all of you were allowed to swallow your vitamin > pills. Guest guest
, I went through four days of crushing pills...ugh. When I went in to have the drain pouch removed, I mentioned the pills. I was asked if I was having trouble swallowing, which I was. Then I was told to go ahead and swallow the tablets whole, which I have been doing without any trouble at all. ;-) ....second week of post-op -- swallowing pills I'm wondering how soon all of you were allowed to swallow your vitamin pills. I am 2 weeks out, and the only problems I have had are with taking the chewable vitamins and the ones I have to crush (like calcium.) The chewable vitamins gag me, as do the capsules I have to empty and the ones I crush. Forget food...I just want to get to the point where I can take pills! My doctor said 6 weeks...is that about right?
