Hi, I'm fairly new on this list and have type 2, diagnosed

this January. I've been busy searching the Internet for

advice and one web site that has been very useful is

http://www.whfoods.org

Maybe it's already been discussed on this list, but if not I

can recommend this web site as an excellent source of advice

for healthy nutrition. The " World's Healthiest Foods " are

described and there's a section (not easy to locate, but

it's there) that recommends diets for specific illnesses,

including type 2 diabetes. The whole site seems to be based

on real science and without any traces of quackery.

I've followed the food advice I've found there and can see

and feel the difference in my body. Have become slimmer and

have more energy. My blood glucose is pretty much under

control, but still needs more work.
