Guest guest
Hi Cyndi.. I had Shetland Sheepdogs and they are extremly sensitive .. but of high intelligence and a desire to please their masters.. I guess I picked this breed because I indentified with it.. A very gentle hand is needed when training them.. they tend to be a tad shy and very reserved.. Maybe I was a Sheltie in another life.. GGGG Border Collies are highly energetic... and wonderfully smart.. They used to cause me concern when we competed agaist that breed for our trial placings.. If there was a breed in the ring that worried me it was those Border Collies.. They seem so very focused in the ring.. Maybe you can drop me a line privately and tell me about the American Indian Dog.. Never heard of that breed... --- Cyndi wrote: > Hi , > > you're right some breeds are too sensitive to use > the 'tough love' type of training.
