Guest guest
Dear Thanks for your support - good luck in your TTC. I am so pleased I have found this board - you are right - it is a lifesaver. No they are not doing a cerclage - they seem very reluctant to do them in the UK, saying they are not scientifically proven (seem to work for people here) Although I asked about bedrest they said they would not recommend it initially unless a problem occurred. They are worried about Thrombosis during bedrest. Regardless of what they say I am going to try to rest a lot during my pregnancy. I am planning on going part time at 20 weeks and then full maternity leave at 29 weeks. When people say bed rest to what extent do they mean. How many hours a day should I spend lying about? and does it have to be on your side? I am getting more support this time in the form of ultrasounds. I only had one at 18 weeks last time. I get one every 4 weeks now from 8 weeks - I am looking forward to the first one. Thanks again.
