Guest guest
We learned from my son's Hair Elements report from DDI that he has high level of Antimony, Lead and Mercury. Thus, we put him on nutient treatment for almost one and half months. However, we stopped the treatment recently since we found some skin discoloration spots on his face and legs. Has anyone seen a similar reaction or this is just a coincidence? The nutrients he had so far include Vitamin C, P-5-P, Selenium and Cod Liver Oil. Guest guest
Could you list how much you were giving and describe the skin discoloration more? My children have a skin discoloration on the forehead near the hairline and also in front of the ears. It is kind of darker than the rest of their skin. I wonder what it could be also... Guest guest
I have discoloration from the Minocin, but it's on my legs, in the form of blackish spots and larger areas. It's kind of gross, but I'll take it over the miseries of my illness anyday. Mona rheumatic Skin discoloration My wife Jen was diagnosed with DM in August. She has been on Minocycoline for about three weeks (200 mg). About two weeks ago she noticed that her forehead was appearing brownish. Since she has had a very red rash all over her face since Spring, it was difficult to discern at first, but it has gotten much darker since it started. We were wondering if the discoloration is from the DM or perhaps a change in pigmentation form the Minocycoline. I think that we read that Minocycoline can affect pigmentation. Has anyone had this experience? If so, is the discoloration likely to ever go away? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Ken
Guest guest
Yes, my discoloration started early on. It becomes lesser if we stay out of the direct sunlight. The sun and any tetracycline product seems to make the melanin in our skins get darker. It will lighten up as time goes on. But, come back when you expose yourself to sunlight once again. I will never be the same color I was. In 2007. We went to Puerto Rico in January and February that year. Athough, I knew about the sun doing this, I could not ignore the beautiful Caribbean beaches. The color is not like a normal tan. It can become a gray muddy color. Also with my disease (Scleroderma), I developed Vitiligo on my forehead and on my arms and legs, it apprears as though I am losing the pigmentation. My arms are brown with white spots. The vitiligo on my forhead did not spread. It is a patch I can cover with bangs. However, my hair has gotten very thin especially in the front. so, I am spreading the hair to sort of cover it. If this is the only thing I have to complain about, then I am lucky. I have met some who have lost their fingers and toes from Scleroderma.
