Trudy - Black colored stools, especially if they have the consistency of coffee grounds are an indication of digested blood. You MUST get yourself to the doctor immediately. Honey, if you have a bleed going on, which sounds like you may have, there is no way of knowing where it's at and if it is about to perforate. If a bleeding ulcer perforates the bowel wall the outcome is totally not fun. You could almost count on peritonitis because of your compromised immunity. If when you read this you haven't seen the doctor, even if it is 2 a.m., if you're hurting, or still have diarrhea, you go to the ER. Then I want you to let me know that it was nothing to worry about. OK? I don't know if you are an alcohol drinker or not, but until you are diagnosed, not even so much as a sip of wine, OK? And, lay off the coffee. Hugs - a B

Question Stomach Cramps

Again, I have many E-mails to catch up on and, I will get to them eventually but, I got a question. I don't know if I have a touch of the flu or not but, my stomach has been cramping like crazy!!! Plus having almost constant diarrhea on top of that. No matter what I drink or eat, it comes out as fast as it goes in. Talk about the green apple two step?

I have been taking Kaopectac and, Pepto Bismo like crazy with no help. All I can do is to curl up in a ball to keep my tummy from cramping so bad.

I'm not throwing up at all for I do get hungry. I haven't been eating any fatty foods to get it started. Is there anything else I can try to stop the runs?

Hate to be so gross but, the diarrhea is blackish in color too.

My girlfriend Connie got me some Gatorade to keep me from dehydrating, thank God but, no matter if my tummy is empty or full, it still cramps like crazy.

Any suggestions?? I am going to go back to bed and, curl up some more.
