Guest guest
The DMSA doesn't cross the BBB but the mercury you " liberate " from your fillings with it can and does. The DMSA can " liberate " more than it can escort out at a time so some ogf the free-floating mercury resettles. If the garbage stinks do you take the garbage out by the bag if you can or do you move it from one place in the house to another piece by piece for a while first? > Mercury from your fillings has direct access to the brain, lungs (breathing) and digest system (eating and drinking) even if you're not chelating. In theory, it would never be possible to take enough DMSA to escort out the mercury it liberates as the more DMSA , the more mercury released........a catch 22. I was asking because my doctor thinks my mercury is too high to remove my amalgams as she's worried my body won't be able to take the slam as I'm in poor condition. She really is pushing me to take DMSA to lower my body load before removing my amalgams. I am resisting....and thought I had her on my team.....but now that I'm nearing the appt for removal....she brings up wanting me to try the DMSA for awhile to lower body burden first. She swears others have done well by following that protocol. I'm in a catch

Make sure the dentist is mercury-free (if they still put it in, they don't understand how or why to take it out properly). Find out all about the dentist's protocol and safety measures before the actual appt for removal. Does he or she use supplemental oxygen? rubber dam? suction? Have the fillings removed quadrant by quadrant with the highest negative first and remeasure before each quadrant because it changes. Do not have any gold put in (if you're going to) while you still have mercury in the mouth. Have the dentist x-ray after removal from each quadrant before replacement to make sure he or she got ALL the mercury out. These things should help reduce the " slam " as the doctor calls it. > At the worst of my mercury poisoning I had undiagnosed chronic fatigue (dragged myself home from work and tried to decide if I had the energy to wash my hair before crawling into bed), was on the verge of losing my job, lost the ability to spell and concentrate, had rapidly failing eyesight, etc. I weighed 82 lbs (adult, 5'6 " , not anorexic) a month before removal but with plant enzymes got back up to 100 lbs. > I had 17 large fillings removed quadrant by quadrant over a week's time (better to space it out, but I had gone from OK to WI to a dentist I knew would do it properly). Guest guest
I heard of him after I had mine out. Must be in Houston area? I lived in San Felipe and Sealy, worked in San Felipe and hire, voluteered with an autistic child (son of Gaylen who sometimes writes on this list) in SonRise program in Houston a number of years ago. > Vitamin C (some say not to take C the day of dental work because it may interfere with anesthesia, others say it doesn't), vit A (not as carotenes), B complex, probiotics, zinc, EFAs. Best to add supplements one at a time so you can tell which if you have probelms with any of them. Andy has a more thorough list in the file and recommends spreading them out throughout the day, i.e. taking vit C 4x/day. I've taken a variety of different enzymes. The ones I took between diagnosis and removal were prescribed by the nutritionist/chiropractor, don't remember the brand name. HFS carry ones made of pineapple (bromelain) and papaya (papain). My primary reasons for going in to Houston when I lived in TX was to go to volunteer and to HFS, usually went to the one (Wild Oats or Whole Foods?) on Shepherd, occasionally another location. > Epsom salt baths and rebounding (bouncing on a minitramp) may also be helpful.
