Guest guest
Hi Glenda, I think I got you beat. I was 155 to start and now I'm 210. It's weird we've gained the same amount of weight. Mine wasn't all from pred, 40 lbs is from the antidepressants that the depressed doc had me on, that I didn't need! My theory is if you don't like how I look, DON'T LOOK!! I do wish I was thinner because I know it's better for my health, but it's hard to exercise when you can hardly stand up. Any how I think I'll wear cream and then no one can call me a white whale!!! He he! Elaine
Guest guest
Angie, I'm with you on the Pred. It doesn't seem to be doing anything for me either except causing more damage. I would love to get off of it. BTW, how are you doing with the diabetes? My PCP put me on Glucophage last week and my sugar has gone down quite a bit. Guest guest
<I will have to remember that when someone says something.> Glenda, People actually say things! LOL! I'd tell them (my personal favourite) " I may be fat but you're ugly and I can always diet! " Or how about " I may be fat but I'm not stupid or insensitive! " Or even " I may be over weight but thankfully I'm not an idiot! " Insulting fat people is the only prejudice left in the world that is considered acceptable and it makes me #@$%! mad! LOL, must be a touchy subject with me, hey. Sorry about the rant but I just want to hit people like that. Your fluffy friend, Elaine
Guest guest
Angie, The Glucophage is really working for me and I only take 500mg. a day. Last night my sugar was 111 and this morning it was 70. It has dropped considerably. I'm feeling the same, still flaring. My Rheumy is disappointed the Enbrel is not kicking in yet. How are you doing? Have your docs reached any decisions yet as far as your treatment goes? Keeping you in my prayers.
