Guest guest
Kirsten, I don't have any actual info about studies and such, but I have often wondered about the environmental link myself. I have UD and there doesn't seem to be anyone in my family (and my extended family is HUGE) that has any MA-type issues. When my mom was PG with me (late 60's), she worked at a vineyard that was heavily air-sprayed with DDT. In addition to that, she told me she was ADDICTED to a particular type of grape that they grew and ate literally " crates " of the stuff. Those two factors make me wonder, as DDT has subsequently been shown to be so damaging and has been banned. Anyway, I'd be interested to know if there is actually anything in the way of research out there. Lia UD

Guest guest
, That is an interesting thought. I had a septum, resected in January. I always thought of it as having the equivalent of a cleft palate or club foot. Think about all of the cells that have to come together to make a human. It is truly a miracle. Some times genetic mistakes just happen. Ours are just not found quickly because they are inside and no one is looking.
