Should be okay for short term anyway. > I know you can also buy small empty capsules, > but I imagine it would be hard to get the powder in them. There are ideas about how to do this, here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA.html In the index, look for the section about dividing up capsules. > Plus, I don't > know if I want to take the capsules, because I think I would be getting > a big dose of whatever is in them. Well, if you are putting the powder in and you are not adding filler, then there is no filler. But maybe you mean what the capsule itself is made of? Most are made of geletin. You can also buy vegetarian ones that are made of plant fiber, I think. Moria
Guest guest
Hi Bernadette. I open DMSA (all supplements) onto a piece of glass (5x7) and use a razor blade to divide doses. LOL. I use portion cups to store the supplements until I use them. The portion cups I bought came with lids. I bought a case of 1000 at Sam's Club/BJ's Wholesale. Now my son swallows capsules, so after I divide into doses, I fill empty capsules. Good luck. TinaB ) > Hi, > > I have some questions about dividing the DMSA dose. Guest guest
Tina, Where do you buy your empty capsules? Lynn > > Hi, > > > > I have some questions about dividing the DMSA dose. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, I buy empty capsules from Health Care Logistics (www.hcl- intl.com). I also bought a funnel from them that fits into some of the capsules, it needed a little shaving off the tip. Guest guest
There is a great little gizmo called a Cap-M-Quik that you can use to fill capsules with powders yourself. I divide the DMPS capsules and mix with Vitamin C powder and cap them into new capsules. The empty capsules are available from Cap-M-Quik or I can also buy them in my local health food store. I also use it to put amino acid powder into capsules, as my son can't stand the taste but can swallow capsules. Kim > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > I have some questions about dividing the DMSA dose. Guest guest
Thank you Tina, I was also able to find a specific brand of syringes I'd been looking for for months at that site.
