Guest guest Posted April 12, 2003 Report Share Posted April 12, 2003 Does anyone have any observations/advice concerning the CI programs in Columbus, Ohio or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania? We had been involved with the Lippy Group in Warren, Ohio for the evaluation of our newly adopted son Joao (age 11) as to the suitability of implantation. Dr. lin Rizer had been working with us there. Tragically, Dr. Rizer was killed when his airplane, which he was piloting, crashed in Virginia. He was a good man and is being mourned by a great many people. It is difficult to bring a surgeon of Dr. Rizer's skill and credentials to a small town in Northeast Ohio, so for the moment the local program is on hiatus. We are being referred to either Pittsburgh (1 1/2 hours away) or COlumbus (3 hours away). Cleveland has not been mentioned. ANy insights?
