Hi all,

At the beginning of this year I was diagnosed with a UU (HSG & then

ultrasound for kidneys). I have both kidneys and ovaries, but no tube

on my right side and my uterus is banana-shaped. Due to the shape,my

dr has told me that the only way for the sperm to reach the egg is

via IUI. After 3 cycles on clomid using IUI, I had a chemical pg (ie.

early m/c)for the 1st time ever. It took 6 weeks for the pg hormones

to get out of my body and although I got my pd I did not ovulate

(they were only cysts @ to my dr). We then did 1 more clomid/IUI and

had 3 fabulous looking follicles on the functioning side with

excellent lining. We were so hopeful that month and nothing came of

it. This last cycle my dr switched me to lectrosol (sp?) since I

questioned the " underlying cellular problems with conceiving caused

by clomid " that another dr had mentioned to me (she was covering for

my dr while on holiday). Without explaining my dr just switched

drugs, even though I ovulated very well on clomid (and lining always

good). This time I ovulated day 18 (instead of 15/16 as usual) and

only produced 1 egg. So obviously that was not the drug for me! I am

wondering if anyone with UU has an opinion re injectibles vs

clomid/lectrosol and could share their experience. Does it seem weird

to anyone else that getting pg is difficult for UU (especially with

all the necessary ingredients right there!) - I thought the difficult

part was going to be staying pg. Any advice/consolation would be

welcome.
