Guest guest
I'm intrigued by the recent remarks about Actos and weight gain. I would say that since I went on it at the start of March, I have gained 20 pounds. Despite 40 mg of Lasix every day my feet are still so swollen I can only wear Birkenstocks, which would fine if I didn't have a dress code at work where i'm suposed to wear skirts, blouses, suits. (My doctor is not worried by the feet swelling; he says as long as it stays around the ankle and below it is not serious, however uncomfortable and unsightly it might be.) The weight gain seems common here. Nevermind what is in the drug company handouts. How many of us who've been on Actos have gained weight? How much? And does it drop off if you stop the Actos, or is it permanent? I just love the idea that because my A1C was at 6.7 and my nitwit ex doctor decided it had to be below 6.0 I got put on a drug that packed 20 plus pounds on me, so that nothing in the closet fits and I can't wear shoes.
