Guest guest
There must be a gulf vortex, a friend of mine just got back from a little island called Sanibel Island, we were talking about getting out of the worst east coast winter in a decade, and she did it, spent three days there..i thought all the spring breakers went to the ocean side of florida. i suppose there's no undiscovered part of florida left. reminds me, have you ever read " Killing Mr. " by Mathiesson (sp.) a vivid historical novel set in old florida, not many are. unforgettable and he's an amazing writer anyway. bob dylan wrote Man in the long black coat, after reading it. look for it at the library.its dark but you can't put it down. can't rememebr the name of that carey movie (i have always loved him) but i remember it well, fascinating concept. swatting mousquitos, never thot i'd want to be doing that, but this winter is bad. i have lots of frequent flyer miles, maybe you know the perfect not expensive inn or place to stay down at the gulf. shrimp, want shrimp. hugs,m leslie > > Hi , > > > > I happen to live on the Gulf Coast or pretty darn close to it > anyway, bout 30 miles away from the beach. Guest guest
My favorite place on the Gulf of Mexico .. is a little town called Homosassa Springs. It is about a half hour from Crystal River. You can travel the Homosassa River about 15 minutes and you are in the gulf .. or go the opposite direction down the river and you are int he springs where there are manatee all over the place .. we used to fish out of there when we were kids .. my dad had a trailer there and we used to spend the weekends there fishing.. I loved it .. one time going down the river .. there were mullet fish jumping all over the river and two of them landed right in our boat! sure do miss it too ..
