Guest guest
Any thoughts on how to find a medical director for non-EMS services? Training programs like ACLS, PALS, PEPP, etc., AED placement, TB testing, and probably more things, require a licensed physician as a medical director. And some of these, like ACLS training centers, really don't make a lot of money anyway. So where would you go to find someone to oversee these type of programs that can't afford to hire a physician on any substantial time basis? It's my thought that there is little real work involved, since most of these are card course level programs. ACLS, for example, how much does the medical director have to do? Or a physician to oversee training programs for AEDs, where the programs are canned and developed by ASHI, AHA, ARC, and the like. I'd think there would be organizations out there that do this, or a particular specialty that does this sort of thing regularly. But I've not found anyone. And this sort of thing comes up all the time. The physicians I've talked to about this seem to not have any idea about things like this, and haven't been very receptive. Any ideas? =Steve= Steve , LP AlertCPR Emergency Training 2300 Highland Village Rd, Suite 340 Highland Village, TX 75077
