Guest guest
Hello, We are getting close to our first round of chelation and the subject of zinc loading prior to DMSA chelation has come up. I am looking for reasoned opinions on the importance of zinc loading prior to DMSA chelation. Our son has been getting about 10mg/day of supplemental zinc and we plan to increase this slightly. He is about 30 lbs. He has been getting the supplemental zinc for a couple of weeks. Before this we took a break from supplements and convinced ourselves that this was not helpful. Thanks,
Guest guest
Proper amount of zinc: 50 mg a day or more. Give it in divided doses. You can chelate any time you want to. It would be wise to ensure your child actually has a heavy metal problem, e. g. by checking a doctor's data hair element profile, since what you say below does not create great confidence in your health care provider.
