Guest guest
ka: I've been ill since 1993 and been on Social Security since 1994. Like some of the others, I rely on Zofran for the nausea. And I do well on a combination of Ultram and Prozac for the pain. And I have had a series of EUS assisted celiac plexus nerve blocks, as well. For the really insane pain, I've been on Demerol and Morphine, drugs. What a way to " live " life. -E(llen)

Guest guest
ka: Zofran (ondansetron hydrochloride) in pill form is a medication that is primarily prescribed to chemotherapy patients for short-tern use during their treatments. It's also used in recovery rooms in IV form to control post surgical nausea, again a short-term usage. As of a few years ago, there were no long-term studies. I don't know it that has changed. I've been on it for years with no ill effects. It's allowed me to maintain brain function because, unlike Compazine and other standard antiemetics, it does not cause drowsiness. It is very costly and difficult to get approved by many health insurance companies. But, as far as I'm concerned, well worth the battle. -E
