Guest guest
, Thanks sooo much for your heartfelt message. I know what you mean about... " never thought of his illiness " It didn't even dawn on me. It didn't dawn on me until the teachers started mentioning an " Ammonia smell " even then I tried cranberry juice and took her to the pedi for an infection. It wasn't until I ran out of places to look in the " regular " world.. that I came back to the Mito board and realized that it could be her illiness. I keep thinking what a terrible mother I am... to have missed that. In Jan. 2001, I would have told you that wouldn't have made it to her 4th birthday. I was prepared to start planning for her funeral. It was that bad. We moved to Ga. from Ma. in Feb of 2001. She was soooo weak but so soon... she started doing well. She was getting stronger. I thought it might be the climate/ I don't know she was just going great and then in Nov., She got sick... (even after a flu shot) No one has said it's a relapse. (but how can you have a relapse if they never figured out the original problem) LOL I guess you can say... we as parents sometimes stick our head in the sand... Not really wanting to see what is right in front of our noses... ) Thanks again for sharing your story... It always helps to have support from someone who knows... Also to the group... I have made a form to print out for 's teachers... to gather information from the drs (Since it's not just Mom and Dad anymore) Look it over please and tell me if I missed something. I really would appreciate the imput. Thanks Dorothy Wife to Mom to Kristi (10) Kaci (6) and (5 probable Mito)
