Guest guest
Well, I'm new to this whole gluten-free living " thang " . So I'm still prone to mistakes. Last night I was up half the night sick, and I can't figure out why. The only culprit I can think of is a soup I used as a base ingredient in a crock-pot dish. Progresso soups - they list allergens at the end of the ingredients. I chose one that didn't list any wheat. And I didn't notice any wheat " products " in the ingredients list, with the possible exception of: - MSG - caramel color - natural color Do you guys religiously avoid MSG, caramel color, natural color? I've been going by that list at celiac dot com that says MSG is likely to be OK if made in North America, etc. And since the ingredient didn't list wheat in the allergen list at the bottom, I thought " the MSG, caramel color, and natural color must not be wheat-derived " . Thoughts? Was I TKOed by the Progresso soup? Esther in RI
