From what I understand, there are reflexes that can be elicited in the ear, I think they use the same equipment that they do tymps. They could have done it for your daughter and you may never have known. Reflexes are normally absent with people who have auditory neuropathy. We had a difficult time getting them with my son, but eventually we got fairly good ones and the audi said that ruled out AN. Hope that helps a little. We ruled out auditory neuropathy, he had a normal ABR (the first was abnormal until we discovered the tech didn't set up the machine correctly!) and normal reflexes and tymps...... I've never heard of a test for reflexes as being relevant to hearing loss. Are they testing bodily reflexes, or is this a specific test of the inner ear? My daughter has a moderate loss, wears HA and has had an ABR, booth testing, cat scan, MRI and Tympanogram. I was just curious about the reflex test. Thanks, H.
