Guest guest
> I posted this on another board and have gotten no response. Since there seem to be more scientifically analytical folks here, I'm hoping you can help. Perhaps after I chelate, I won't have to worry about it anymore... > > I'm trying to get back on course with my dss and their diets. I pulled out all the test result done in Sep/Oct. and one was the GSDL Food Antibody Assessment for 90 foods. Both of my dss showed VL in IgG (only--no IgE) for dairies, some grains (including rice but not wheat or corn), veggies. Their IgA showed some antibodies to gluten and casein (Dr. Megson wrote, " The urinary polypeptides test shows elevated IAG level. Recommend gluten and casein free... " ). I would pay a lot more attention to the IgG results. The IgA results do suggest a trial GFCF diet. I would not go insane doing this, if you want to try it, do so for a month. Most kids respond within that time. > How would any of you read it? Rotation or elimination or enzymes? These are also good options. Rotation is about as painful as GFCF, but if you prefer to do that it is fine. If so, let me know and I'll discuss rotating supplements. I don't remember if I did that before on list or not. > What would you do with 'VL' as a marker for an IgG response to a food? Please explain all the choices of markers so I have a better idea what VL means. IgG to more than 5 foods indicates the correct treatment is one for healing up leaky gut syndrome, not simply avoiding allergens while he sensitizes to everything else in the grocery store. Glutamine between meals, arginine and lysine with meals, gelatin 1 tsp with digestive enzymes with meals, lots of vitamin A. >Is there an IgA level at which you should be concerned and a level when not? It depends on his total IgA as well as the results to gluten and casomorphin. > > Your Seoul Sister, > Tonya > mothersheart1996@e... > > [Non-text portions of this mess
Guest guest
I appreciate your time. All of our 'health care' folks are completely uneducated here. I just left the dentist/ortho office and was informed that the composite filling my 7ds was perfectly safe but so are amalgam fillings (AAAARRRGGHHH!) and that all the concern was unwarrented. I wanted to poke his eye out...same office who let my 7ds swallow all the floride treatment they gave him and was surprised when he vomited all over the cafeteria 3 hrs later. Peds dr is 'concerned about giving my dss enzymes that their bodies already make (no, they don't) since we don't know what the long term ramifications are' but discounts every study on thermerisol and autism relationship as well as heavy metals, food additives, hydrogenated oils/trans fats but, 'hey, let's talk about Ritalin.' I have no choices here except to avoid them all together. Would be interested in check 7ds's aminos but getting someone to order the tests may be tough. Apologize for the rant. Answers to your questions... >These are also good options. Rotation is about as painful as GFCF, >but if you prefer to do that it is fine. If so, let me know and I'll >discuss rotating supplements. I don't remember if I did that before >on list or not. I don't know. I can search the archives. Would make sense to do that to...I find myself doing that as I find reactions that didn't occur before. >> What would you do with 'VL' as a marker for an IgG response to a food? >Please explain all the choices of markers so I have a better idea what VL means. VL, +1, +2, +3...8ds 21 VLs and 1 +2 for sunflower seeds | 7ds 10 VLs, 2 +1 (pinto and string bean), and 1 +2 (kidney bean) >IgG to more than 5 foods indicates the correct treatment is one for healing up leaky gut syndrome, not simply avoiding allergens while he sensitizes to everything else in the grocery store. Glutamine between meals, arginine and lysine with meals, gelatin 1 tsp with digestive enzymes with meals, lots of vitamin A. Am I taking the easy way out by giving an all encompassing amino mix? Seems like but I don't want to miss any either. >>Is there an IgA level at which you should be concerned and a level when not? >It depends on his total IgA as well as the results to gluten and casomorphin. I only have Total IgE 2.86/8ds and 57.06/7ds. I will email Dr. Megson for IgA if she will give it. Once again, thanks. Deeply. Your Seoul Sister, Tonya mothersheart1996@... Guest guest
> I have no choices here except to avoid them all together. Do exactly that. Get all your friends to do it too. As long as you keep going to them, they keep making money for not knowing what they are doing. Stop being their token to make money off your insurance plan! Andy . . .. . . . .
