Guest guest
what would be the reason for Zinc to be so high on my sons hair test? Thanks for all replies Lori Manitoba,Canada
Guest guest
No Zinc supplementation, no galvanized rainwater tanks, (possibility in water) will check on this one. Yes, the MT Protein, however as I understand it, isn't the Zinc suppose to be low, and Copper high, or is it the other way around. This is the 2nd hair test I have done on my son within last two years. both have come back with high zinc, and lower copper. Guest guest
This may be an indication of *low* body zinc. This seems to be the case with me - I had a high reading on my GSDL hair test, but low with sweat, and other tests at BioLab in London. My doctor here has described by situation as 'severe zinc deficiency' (amongst other things). I think the reason that the hair test can be high whilst the body level low is that zinc is being poorly absorbed, and hence goes right through you to the hair... I don't know exactly what's going on, but I don't think the evidence you have so far indicates that you should reduce zinc intake - as the reverse may be true, and you could make things worse....
