Guest guest Posted January 23, 2003 Report Share Posted January 23, 2003 Our school district, actually, the KISD (Kent County, MI Schools) offers both. Like your daughter, our son is oral. He attended the oral deaf school for 2 years and went back to mainstreaming in 2nd grade, with the support of the oral deaf school, in the form of equipment (fm system) and twice weekly speech/language sessions. I don't think it was me you referred to as I'm not near Detroit, but, the Grand Rapids area but if there is additional information you need that I can help with, please let me know.
