I don't know if this is the same thing, but dissolving

stitches do not dissolve very well on me. I still

have one embedded in belly button from a previous

procedure. Happened with a sinus surgery too.

6 weeks after the surgery I went back to the doc,

asked him to take out the rest of the stitches, he

said, 'no way, they are gone,' looked in my nose and

found just about every stitch was still there,

undissolved.

Go figure ...
