Guest guest
In reply.....wow, touchy subject for me; during my first trimester of pregnancy, after a bad cold(cough) is when I became symptomatic. and boy do I mean symptomatic. I was sooo dizzy and nauseated; I couldnt even hold ice down, I had throbbing piercing headaches and neck pain. I can't imagine feeling worse then i did during pregnancy. One major problem though.....no diagnosis, no steady PCP who knew me well, no meds ,no anything. So, if I can give you reassurance on taking the meds, let me be the one to do so. My symptoms aren't near as bad as they were during that pregnancy. that was in 1999. I still have the symptoms, but like the dizziness and eye movement i get with out the nausea feeling. If i could have had medications then to have helped me,I would have jumped for it. I believe there were negative effects with my son, by not having medications to control the suffering I was in during pregnancy. Hope this helps, hugs- stacy in Ohio in reply to............................ I feel so guilty sometimes taking all these medications...plus, they had me taking sudafed for nasal congestion which I desperately needed to breath. Sometimes I still take one pain pill a day to help with the headaches, and leg pain, but I feel terrible about it. The doctor says it's okay, but how can it be with all of these medications stacked against one another. Anyone else out there who has had to deal with chiari & being pregnant that can help me feel not so guilty? I know the ultra sound says she is fine, but I can't help but worry that because I am a wimp & can't handle the pain that I am really screwing her up. Thanks for listening.
