Guest guest
Well, I had read all the posts about the pins and needles and itches and hadn't thought too much about it. I hadn't had any up to this point. We dedicated our new worship center today, with a huge potluck afterwards. I took a chance on the bar-b-que sauce on the pork steaks.....wrong thing to do, or else something was cross contaminated. But it was already 2PM, and I hadn't had anything to eat after waiting in line for probably 30 minutes in the sun. Something made me react with exactly the same symptoms described, but it's only on one arm. I have a patch near my elbow that I can't feel any bumps, but it's extremely sensitive. I had always associated that feeling with getting the flu, because in the past my "skin hurt" right before getting sick for 3 days. No fever, just stomach. Now I have to wonder if that wasn't a gluten reaction and I just didn't associate it at the time. I've had that as long as I can remember. I was an extremely skinny child (at 20 I was 5 ft 4 inches and weighed 103 - 3 pounds over the minimum for the Navy). I think my body learned to compensate over the years....I'm overweight now, and haven't lost in the few months I've been gf. Hoping to, though, as I eat healthier. Guest guest
Hi Loriann - It does sound like you may have been having reactions before you were even aware of it. Things can look a bit different once you see how you react when you are GF. I bet there's a good story behind the evolution from Naval sailor to Christian clown...
