Anyone Have Any Ideas About This??

As I wrote earlier, we are supposed to start the diet with Langan

tomorrow. Her seizures have gotten progressively closer together

lately, so we are anxious to get things started. She had a nasty

seizure last night and then was vomiting today. She has been

lethargic and sleeping all day and just really woke up. We have

been giving her a ton of pedialyte when she was waking up today, and

she had half a banana a bit ago. Yesterday, she ate tons of her

usual carbs, along with about 1/2 cup of the keto eggnog. We have

been trying to decide whether to start tomorrow or hold off until

she is all the way recovered. ANYWAY, I thought I should practice

checking her ketones, so I put a gauze in her diaper earlier. It

was soaked, so I checked it, expecting it to be negative. It was

BRIGHT PURPLE in like 3 seconds. Somewhere between 80 and 160. I

thought maybe the sticks were contaminated (sent to us by a friend

so already opened) so I got one from a new sealed pack and tried

again- same results. Any ideas how this is possible? Could this

explain her recent seizure activity? I am dumbfounded!!!
