I agree. Looks like a great " fetch " unit. Something we could use in our area

as we have a large number of call for undocumented aliens in remote areas.

Could also possibly be used by the Border Patrol themselves.

I think this would be appropriate for rural and wilderness

applications as a " fetch truck " - something to go and get a patient at

a remote location and bring them back to a more advanced transfer

unit.

It's better than a 4x4 or a booster truck... and cheaper than a helicopter.

Exactly...........as in my original post, and yours, that is besides

the point. I am merely talking about transport to the hospital.

Addressing hi statement that the national guard, etc. use these.

Might I remind him that the US Military goes by a totally different

standard. There are several different " KKK " standards.....one for

civilian, and several for military, including those for armored

ambulances (i.e. the Stryker ambulance, Hummer, etc.). And during a

disaster like Wes suggested (which I think is a great idea), all the

rules do go out the window so to speak. During the flood in

Houston, TDH told people to get all of their units that they can,

certified or not, and help in the evacuation.
