hullo Kat,

I had a broken bone, many years ago now, so I read up on it some.

The herb comfrey is BY FAR AND AWAY " the " herb for broken bones.

This is really unusual. Most conditions, you look them up and

there are 10 or 15 herbs commonly used, and different variations

in each book. For broken bones, comfrey REALLY stands out. Listed

everywhere I looked. It has a slew of " common names " like " knit

bone " and " bone heal " and the like.

If you read about it you'll find that there are a bunch of

(IMO bogus) " warnings " about using it internally. I'm saying

this as a heads up in case you want to look for this. Not

that comfrey tastes especially great, (the tea is okay), but

that I think the " controversy " is nothing to be concerned

about. I heard a very very well known herbalist at a conference

discuss cooking and blending up and drinking large quantities of

the stuff (she had her leg broken in several places in an

accident). It helped too.

best,

Moria
