Guest guest
How much does he weight? 25 mg of ALA for a 5 yo seems a lot to me. You could try a lower dose and see how he does. --- In , " misterkeeg " <shaferkeeg@a...> wrote: > Hi everyone. Guest guest
Hi, Are you using probiotics? The symptoms sound like yeast, but I wonder if the bad bacteria are a problem, too. In any case, probiotics really help. Andy told me about how important probiotocs are, so my daughter takes 120 Billion CFUs (colony forming units) per day. We give 4-5 Culturelles (the 20 Billion per capsule type) and Pro-Bio-Gold for the rest. That gut issue has become a non-problem for our daughter--but we will continue to give her the probiotics for at least another year or two. Good luck,

For my son, which would be either yeast or too much copper [ALA tends to elevate copper, try adding zinc] http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Dana
Guest guest
I have just finished my son's 3rd round of ALA only. This is my first experience chelating so I am not as knowledgable as some. I have found though that my son is mouthing like he used to. I have had to double his zinc supplements which has eliminated this problem. I also found that he is more hyper on the first day or two off so I have been giving him the GSE/No-Phenol combo for yeast which has helped. Regardless, it seems the first day off he has a tendency to revert to long forgotten behaviours (like feces smearing and hitting his head). He seems to be sleepy more and hard to wake up in the morning. He is however much more social, signing more, talking more, is very happy and has great eye contact. His teacher has told me she is amazed at how social he has become and how much more he is talking. His ABA therapist said even though she is seeing behaviours emerge usually on Mondays (the first day off) it is sooo worth it for the incredible progress he is making. --- In , " misterkeeg " <shaferkeeg@a...> wrote: > Hi everyone. Guest guest
As I understand it, ALA is responsible for removing the mercury out of the brain so that the DMSA can remove it from the tissues. (According to our neurologist) So what you might be seeing is the results of mercury shifting from the brain to the blood which is what you want so that the DMSA can then do its job. We just finished our 2nd round of DMSA/ALA and saw some behavior problems (meltdowns, aggression) and was reassured this is normal and it may see things get worse before things get better. I'm certainly not an expert still very new to this " Chelation stuff " but I hope this tidbit helps. caleb's mom misterkeeg <shaferkeeg@...> wrote: Hi everyone. We use culturelle, alternating with probiogold and nystatin. He was parallel playing with other kids and starting to initiate play. Now he prefers to be alone and gets mad if his routine during play is disturbed. My question is...does this sound like a problem with the ALA or with the metals coming out?? I'm hoping this is temporary. We made alot of gains with dmsa and now we seem to be regressing again. Any input is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!! Guest guest
My children are 6, 6, and 8 yo. They take 7 mg ALA with their DMSA. They regressed due to redistribution on doses higher than 10 mg. 25 mg ALA is my adult dosage and I weigh 130 lbs and have been chelating with ALA since last Nov. 25 mg ALA would definitely move mercury INTO my kids' brains. Guest guest
please forgive my ignorance but could someone explain the mercury redistribution to the brain with DMSA/ALA with higher dosages? and what is the proper dosing per weight? Guest guest
Hi, This could be clostridia or some other bacteria. Stool test does not show it, as it is anaerobic. You can try biocidin and culturelle against it. You can do organic acid urine test to see if this is the case. Could be yeast, stool test often does not show it correctly. Margaret > Hi everyone. Mercury is " freed up " but then resettles, and goes to " high affinity " areas like the brain. " Andy's " dose timing is based on avoiding this. His method is to give/take chelation agents often enough to keep them steadily in the bloodstream for 2 or 3 days or longer. You can read about suggested dosages, here: /files/Andy_dose_sched You can read more about redistribution, here: /files/ANDY_INDEX Look for the section about " keeping a steady level of chelation agents and " bad " protocols " . High doses of chelation agents have their own problems---- and, of course, oftentimes people COMBINE high dosages with not-often-enough dose timing, which can be quite disasterous. good wishes, Moria
