Coconut water. I find it in the freezer section of the health food store. In

Canada, $5 per 500 ml bottle. Tastes terrible but mix it with a healthy juice.

You can also make an eloctrolyte mix homemade but it contains sugar.

Greetings,

Sorry for the cross posting, but I am desperate for an option. I

dislike Gatorade, Sam's Club sports drink has disappeared from the

market, and the heat is full blast. Are there any healthy options for

when water won't quench a thirst? When I was younger, we took salt

tablets, but those no longer exist, either.

I would love an option without the sugar and artificial junk. Is there

an electrolyte out there without all that?

Google " healthy sports drink recipe " and you will find a lot of healthy

recipes.

If using fruit juice make sure it is organic....freshly juiced would be even

better. For those with cancer, mix half juice and half purified water.

stay off aspartame, High fructose corn syrup. Look these up on youtube.  Both

really bad!

Aspartame causes those athletic heart attacks you see like in Gatorade, and HFCS

causes massive weight gain,

Make your own juices.

I buy electro carbs from a company called chapter one.  (currently being

unfairly harrassed by the ftc and fda)  It has the proper balance of sodium and

potasium.  Gatorade is bad for you according to them.  Buy from them and help

them fight. They are fighting for supplement rights.

Thanks, Robyn

Green tea would definately be your best bet,  but, if that's out there is a

" vitamin enhansed "  drink mix at Wal-Mart in the little boxes beside the Crystal

Lite stuff and it doesn't have the bad stuff in it.
