I had no pain from the surgery sight but I did experience a spinal head ach when I changed positions and also muscle spasms. Surgery was last THursday and I just came home yesterday. THe surgery much longer than expected. 4 1/2 hours. the herniation was 5 mm longer than first thought. Still alittle woosy in the head be am looing forward to a full recovery. I have a wonderful doctor. I thank God for that. losing 13 lbs was great too. i would never descourage anyone from this surgery, in fact i new th OT personally and she told me that she treated several people who were parylized from the malformation because it wasn't caught in time.
