Guest guest Posted August 26, 2009 Report Share Posted August 26, 2009 When we used to get BIG kittens (we seem to get them now at the age to live in a box and get fed with a bottle!) we kept them a day or two in the room with the litter box, to be sure they knew where it was - but just like little kids, accidents still happen! Our current little-bitty-kitty pooped in Himself's shoes when she got shut up in the bedroom. He was not happy. :-) in WY " You get a wonderful view from the point of no return... Guest guest Posted August 27, 2009 Report Share Posted August 27, 2009 I am sure he was almost as happy as I was when I woke up to/by pee in my side of the bed (I rolled over and realized I was laying in something cold and wet...). ; )To keep the kittens in the room with the litter box for a day or two does seem like a good idea. Except in our case that is a very small room, so it wouldn't be so nice... We use the guest bathroom for that. Always have, it is known in our home as the cats' bathroom... It seems with our little ones accidents happen if we both have been away for some hours. Not while we are away, but when we return. It's like they have forgotten to go all the time we were away, and then it's all of a sudden too far to the litter box. One thinks that since they know where the litter box is and remember to use it when we are around, they should remember to go when we are away as well, but it doesn't seem that way... Guest guest Posted August 28, 2009 Report Share Posted August 28, 2009 i remember when i first got ms.p,she was a mess! i had her up on my bed cuz i was vacumming,and she was so little i would loose her-when i went to lay down that night i found she had pottyed dead smack in center of my bed! hahaha almost seven yrs later when i vaccum she gets in my bed--at 18# she gets in by herself-under covers and all you see is her tail wagging.....but thankfully its a dry event now!!! lol......... Especially during the period when used to be away in the weeks, working, and only spent Friday to Sunday at home. Every Sunday night when I went to bed I had to change bed clothing, because Agnes (the cat) had peed in 's bed to punish her for going away... Except, in reality I was the one being punished, since I was the one having to do laundry big time every week, and had to re-make the bed when I was really tired and just wanted to go to sleep, but somehow that was not a side of it that ever occurred to our dear Agnes... One time I had a cold and still had to work more than full time the coming week, I had only Sunday night to rest up on. So I bought myself a new crime novel, made some hot chocolate and went to bed early. Only to find that Agnes had already done her weekly punishment, and had peed in my bed too for extra effect. Not quite the kind of rest and relaxation I had in mind... But finally I actually did find a solution to that. I went to bed at 5 am this morning, so I was really busy with all of you.
