Guest guest
That sounds wonderful, Alana. I, too, have been feeling more grateful and peaceful this past week...it's a lovely feeling! It sounds like a wonderful time with your Mom...I bet you miss her already!Sue Oh my gosh, what a fabulous question! For me it's about gratitude and acceptance and love and a faith in something other than me and the world - something greater out there in the universe. This is me 3rd weed of vactaion. My Mom has been here visting and we absolutely had the best time! I just sent her off this morning to the train station and had to drive as the sun was coming up. It was absolutely beautiful - despite the traffic that I'm not used to having to drive in. But anyway, these past 2 weeks I have felt such love and grattitude for LIFE! Guest guest
I tend to look at it literally since I don’t know the context in which GR is framing it. I see it as keeping amazement as a constant companion, as in literally being married to it. I am currently reading the Zen of Eating and it frames our mindset as the only thing we can control. We cannot control what is happening but we can control our reaction to it. Very much a Buddhist practice, which I am learning. Choosing to see the world around us with amazement rather than seeing the negative and reacting to it negatively helps us discover everything we thought about food, ourselves and the world around us was coloured by our own mindset. I love GR’s writings too.
