Dear ALL! What a year..with so much initially lost..my sight, balance,

clarity of thought, and faith in my ability to get well. After such a

long haul, I am now working again, in my role of Drama teacher and

playwright. If there is one thing I have learned from this debilitating

and mysterious syndrome, it is patience. Actually I have learned many

things. I have learned how to truly appreciate each day which is symptom

free, some still take me by suprise, and I have random pains in my head,

or a vagueness and slight vertigo..but what is really wonderful is the

time which is symptom free. How exhilerated I am on those days.Spring is

here and my garden is full of birds and flowers, last year all these

were a swirling mass of tunnel vision, and my depression was so

insumountable that all lost its meaning. With my irish wolfhound at my

side I bearly made it from room to room, let alone ventured outside. Any

of you who are in that darker place dealing with its its newness, have

hope because it does get better. I send you all love and healing from

Deborah in california.
