Guest guest
Hi Sheila. Welcome to the group. There is plenty to learn here. Feel free to ask questions (sometimes you may have to ask a couple of times to get someone's attention). You can also do archive searches by typing the subject into the box labeled 'Search Archive' near the top of the page. There is a huge amount of info on most of the subjects we discuss in the Archives (a fancy title for all of the past posts on this group). Guest guest
I suggest you find a new doctor. I may be off and he may just be being thorough but it sounds like you need and ortho guy, and a good one. Wait to see what he comes up with and then think seriously about a second opinion. You don't sound like you have confidence in this Dr. therefore my advice is to trust your gut. There is a natural herb for swelling, not for pain, called Boswellia. Check it out at your local health food or oriental health store. Good luck. Penkoff <girlfriendgeneration@...>
Guest guest
==>Hi Janean. Welcome to our group. > but not new to candida overgrowth. i am 32 and have been suffering > with yeast infections for 18 years. as a teen my mother always said there was no cure, and using a hot washrag as a compress was my only relief. so for many years these infections just grew and grew and i beleive it overtook my entire body. as i was alwasy sickly and tired and weak. ==>I can empathize with you since I had vaginal yeast for over 25 years before I found out about candida. It took me 2 1/2 years to cure it, along with all of my other health problems. > > anyhow in the last year i have learned about the systemic yeast > infection (on my own, since doctors are of little help). i went to an alternative care dr. and he suggested a sugar free/yeast free diet. well, things have been going good for 6 months, eventhough i lost 10 pounds and have been deniying myself with eveyone around me eating sweets. then last week i got another yeast infection! i had been drinking alot of coffee lately, and my husband thinks this triggered it... Is that possible???? ==>I doubt it was the coffee. As your body heals naturally it will retrace previous episodes with the yeast, along with retracing past illnesses, malfunctions, diseases, injuries, dental and medical treatments, etc., etc. This is according to Hering's Law of Cures - read about it in my main article " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " : http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu2_8.php > > so, i took a diflucan, and got on the internet. that's how i found > this site. ==>Well done for finding us! Please know that diflucan is extremely hard on the liver, while natural antifungals are not. If you read my article you will understand what natural antifungals are best, and why. > > ok, my questions are... i am alredy on a low to no sugar diet, and > take probiotics every day. so, i have two options to go on Bee's > diet. i can stop the probiotics and start the diet from the > beginning, Or i can just continue with where i am and remove the high carb foods from my diet. Also, i really want to take more > antifungals to get rid of this vaginal yeast infection.. i can not > wait 3 months for it to be gone. should i get 3 months of nystatin, or try garlic? how can i take the garlic without making my breath horrid? ==>Sorry my friend, it isn't possible to cure candida by " killing it off " like doctors believe. The only way to cure it is to build up the immune system so it becomes strong enough to " make " candida change back to the friendly organism it is supposed to be. That takes time and patience. ==>According to Hering's Law of Cures it takes 1 month of natural healing for every year you've been unwell, which for most people nowadays is since before birth. ==>It also isn't wise to push your body too much, nor to give it too many or too much. It will just overwhelm your body and that can make it stop the healing process. Simply give your body the nutrients it needs to do its job and it will do a great job! ==>I think you would be wise to go off the probiotics and diflucan, and continue changing your diet to this one, gradually of course. The main antifungal used is coconut oil, so you start on that right away too. For help on changing over see " Curing Candida, How to Get Started " , which is on this menu: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu2_8.php > > also, how long is average for most of you, in time that you have > spent on the diet and the entire 4 step program? i dont want to > loose anymore weight ( am already down to 115) and i dont know what > to eat besides meat and eggs. ==>I lost a lot of weight too, but I came back! It was over 20 years ago that I cured my candida. The timing is like I explained above: 1 month of natural healing for every year you've been unwell. ==>There's lots of foods to eat on this list: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods6.php ==>There's also a lot of great recipes: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/index.php The other members are also very helpful with ideas, and here's some others too: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu2_7.php Most members are having Bee's Raw Egg Drink for breakfast, which is like a smoothie, and it's delicious: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/recipe167.php > where is the No-No list? Here it is: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu2_2_1.php > > after the 4 step program is over, then what? what do you do next? ==>The 4 step program isn't over after adding all of the steps. A person needs to continue doing all 4 steps for as long as it takes to build up their immune system. Even after curing candida most of us maintain our immune system and health by following the principles of this program for life! > please help. i have felt such dispair lately and i feel much relief > just finding this group. ==>We are here to help and support you Janean. We are a wonderful bunch of people! The best in health, Bee

Guest guest
Hello, my name is and I am new to this forum. (Is this forum related to silicone kids and/ or breast implant survivor network? I have visited both of those forums.) I have had saline implants for 6 years, but started reacting to them almost immediately. I had developed large painful lymph nodes in my armpits and along sides of my breasts and lumpy calcifications over breasts within the first year of implanting. I also developed severe pain in my abdomen and interstitial cystitis that same year. The lymph nodes have never gone away, and sometimes swell to the look like golf balls protruding through my skin. Over the years, my symptoms have continued to accumulate. I am now a mom to a 3 year old, and I have a hard time functioning some days much worse than others. I have pain all over, swelling in joints on and off, numbness, fatigue, weakness, vertigo, allergies, multiple chemical sensitivity, the list goes on and on, and changes day to day. I have had several lymph node biopsies, ultrasounds, mammograms, blood tests, MRIs of breasts, MRIs of brain and 2 on spine to watch for MS type lesions. (I have developed a severe intolerance to MRI contrast agents.) Doctors treat me like I am crazy, and tests always are inconclusive. My darling daughter has GERD- esophageal reflux. I am trying to get the funds together for my explant. I hope to be explanted by this summer. I plan to use Dr. Chun in Newport Beach, Ca. I have read Colleen Mckenzie's story and saw that she was a member here. I saw that she had the help of Dr. Shanklin to diagnose her silicone poisoning. Does anyone know if he is the only doctor who is doing this type of test? Does anyone know where I can find his contact info? Is the test similar to the silicone hypersensitivity lab test that I have heard of? Any info that anyone can share with me about testing, etc. would be very much appreciated. Thanks Ladies, lindsaymattiesmom@...
Guest guest
If it tastes a little too yeasty to you rinse the kefir grains before every new batch with non-chlorinated water. You will know when to stop rinsing. Marilyn On Sat, Aug 22, 2009 at 4:12 PM, jennlynm <jennlynm@...> wrote: > Hi Everyone, > > I am very new to kefir making...just got my grains a couple of days ago.
