Guest guest
I had my consultation with Dr. Batzofin at SIRM-NYC yesterday and If you couldn't tell by my subject line, I don't have to have surgery. Dr. B examined me, with too big a speculum, and fingers, and u/s and came to the conclusion that I don't need the Strassman Metroplasty surgery he thought was a possibility, and that basically I have two normal size uteri. I guess I just have an extra one. So, he wants to do immune testing (fine with me) and a sono-hystogram (not thrilled about that one but whatever) and some testing on dh's swimmers, and then we are off and stimming. It looks like I'll qualify (as long as the two tests come back okay. Hmmm) for their outcome based plan (obp). So, that pretty much sums it up. DH and I are talking about when to do it. I can get in on the June cycle, and it looks like we'll be shooting for that one. Yikes! Exciting and scary all at the same time. I expressed concerns about being put on Lupron, and about that they insist on doing icsi and his response was for me to not sweat the small stuff. Well, it's not small stuff to me if it affects the health of me and my child. On our first ivf, we retrieved 8 eggs and 7 fertilized. Seems to me there's no reason to worry about icsi. Ugh. This needs to be easy but just never is. So I thought I'd share that with you ladies since I know you all understand a bit too well. Do you think there's anything else I need to consider having done before continuing on with trying again? Thanks in advance for any input. Baby dust to all.
