Thanks SuAnn!

Learn something new everyday!

I would interject here though, to go back and read past posts on Haas and DeVivo which is why everyone pretty much prefers Shoffner and Cohen...

I just called the UMDF office and I was told that Dr. Deivo is doing fresh biopsies. If this is wrong I'm sorry and we will need to get UMDF to correct their information.

Re: Dr. Cohen v. Dr. Shoffner

There is also a Dr. Deivo in New York, a Doctor Haas in California and Dr. Shoffner in Atlanta that do Fresh biopsies.SuAnnDeVivo only does frozen...Dr Haas was mentioned recently but when she replied she said she wasnt really sure it was fresh and still woudl rather see Shoffner if she had the chance...maybe if someone knows how to call him, we could check!deb Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.

I was also still under the impression that the only options for fresh were Atlanta, Cleveland, and San Diego.

Dr. Shoffner was out of our insurance network also but the muscular dystrophy dr gave an excellent report to refer J.D. to Dr. Shoffner and the insurance co. approved plus the MDA paid the balance to Dr. Shoffner.

Good luck!
