Joan - That seems wrong to me to continue weaning so quickly if she had a

seizure. Did you have complete seizure control on the diet? My son Josh just

came off the diet this summer. We went from 3.5 to 3.0 for 2 weeks and then

dropped to 2.0 for 2 months. At that point we did another EEG to make sure no

seizure activity was starting up before dropping it completely. Even that

pace was pretty quick. But my neurologist did say if the EEG had shown any

worsening he would have backtracked instead of continuing to wean. Best of luck

Basically, they went quickly the first time and seizures came back. Went

back onto the diet and seizures disappeared. Next time they weaned

slowly and things went a lot better.
