Guest guest
It's more easily absorbed warm. They can call it detoxifying but it is really to help prevent constipation, LOL. In other words you'll get extra Vit C and if you aren't having any problems with your bowels you may also find yourself with diarrhea. Also, if you take other Vit C and this kicks you in to a megadose you may also find yourself with sores at the corner of your mouth and on your labia (from the urine). The amount it takes to cause this varies from individual to individual--me, I get the sores on my mouth from 2 glasses of OJ and I rarely take any Vit C in supplements because you get so much in fortified foods these days that I get the sores easily--I'm really sensitive to it, though. Same thing happens to me with those vinegar concoctions, same reason. With your IC you may want to reconsider this form of detox. Kathy lemon water Hey, anyone ever heard of drinking warm water withlemon juice in it upon waking as a detoxifier? Anyonetried it? I read about it in Womens World & am tryingit. Soooouuur!!!! Funny how if this was cold I'd thinkit was nice & refreshing but because its warm its justSour & hard to drink! I wonder what the signifiganceof warming it up is? I even put a teaspoon of splendain it (not supposed to I bet) to try & sweatenit....can't tell at all! Guest guest
Huh. I wondered about taking in something so citrus. On the one hand my IC is not flaring at all right now & I am always constipated so this could be good for that. On the other hand, I HATE getting cold sores. This guy recommends taking the stuff every morning. I have a friend who has drunk lemon water for years but she puts a tablespoon in a Large bottle of water not just a cup so its more diluted. She too has tummy problems though I think she said she takes it for her kidneys. Thanks for the warning. Dawn --- Kathy wrote: > It's more easily absorbed warm. Guest guest
No problem. The sores at the corner of my mouth from the Vit C go away in a day or two and are more cracked areas than huge open sores, but they do hurt. Guest guest
It sure does taste awful! Even with a bit of splenda. I also read that just drinking plain old warm water will make you go to the bathroom too. I can't think why that would do the trick though. Guest guest
The suggested "dose" can be put in warm/hot water. Better than lemon water for detoxifying and more healthy--tastes better too. kayly "Panther Piss" This is another Ian Shillington recipe. There are a multitude of minerals in blackstrap molasses (click a serving size and click the report button to see the nutritional breakdown), in naturally occurring synergy. it has the highest potassium concentration of any other food, which helps maintain an alkaline Ph in the body. The apple cider vinegar extracts these minerals, making them more bioavailable. It also boosts hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which is needed in order to absorb some minerals. Shillington suggests its use for osteopororis and to maintain Ph equilibrium within the body. Great mineral supplement. Please be attentive with any sugar disturbances you might have including hypoglycemia, diabetes, and candida overgrowth. The Panther Piss may in fact aid in your approach to these things, but please watch for your specific reaction if any. 1 part Blackstrap Molasses1 part Non-Filtered Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Put ingredients in a glass jar and shake. Take 1-6 Tbls daily.

Guest guest
Yeah, I am all for hot tea & coffee every morning but this diet insists that coffee & tea are in the group of foodstuffs that your supposed to avoid for awhiel when you are " detoxifying " . For sre I will say that I bet my system is toxic as hell. lol. On the other hand, if I quit going to the bathroom because I'm off coffee & tea then surely that is even more toxic? Hmmpf, you'd think as many veggies & fiberous stuff as I'm eating I'd be having no problem going. Dawn --- " Kayly S. Guest guest
But if you are at the same time as you increase fiber, eliminating caffeine you're almost bound to get constipated. Guest guest
amazingly enough no headach....which I normally get when I try to cut out caffeine. I DID cheat & have one mountain dew last night. That is the only caffeine I've had in days though. Dawn --- Kathy wrote: > But if you are at the same time as you increase > fiber, eliminating caffeine you're almost bound to > get constipated.
