Guest guest
Ok Dawn! Just say NO. So what if she is mad at you. I was a young single person when I had my daughter and I took responsibility for her since I made the decision to keep her. I had a job, a day care and babysitter and my own place to live. I did get a little help from my parents (I lived with them til she was 6 months old) and from welfare for health insurance but I was working and was off welfare when she was 18 months old. I worked as a waitress and worked 60 hours a week sometimes, even picking up extra shifts washing dishes if I had too. My boss owned several restaurants and I would work at up to 3 in a week if need be. I asked my parents for additional help once when I was having problems with paying for daycare and they helped me for 2 weeks til I could catch up on my bills. No one said it would be easy. She needs to be responsible for her own children and not depend on so many people....... My sister still calls my parents all the time. She never had a real babysitter until her son was old enough and was recruited to watch the babies all the time and she doesn't pay him because he is family. Well, he didn't choose to have the babies and she and her husband don't need to go out drinking twice a week. Argggh. Can you tell that this bothers me???? Kylie watches Brody every now and then when I go to the doctors or for a hair cut and, yes, I pay her. I do not pay her for chores or other household jobs though. Ok, I need to stop lecturing you, give me your cousin's phone number, eh??? LOL Take care, zanna

Guest guest
Hiya Dawn, This situation with your cousin is ridiculous! Just tell her " No, you are too sick " EVERY time she rings and don't worry about her reaction. She obviously has no regard for your feelings or welfare. Your auntie will no doubt understand and is probably just as sick of the situation as you. Be tough, it's not fair on your own family. Guest guest
Hi Dawn, Yes, you are right on that one, easier said than done. Advise is so easy to give but I am one of the biggest softies too! I'm not doing bad, thanks, but have been out and about looking at properties lately and feel absolutely exhausted! We saw a great rundown little place recently (sounds silly but we can't afford a renovated one!) which was auctioned on Saturday for less than we were prepared to go to. Unfortunately we still haven't got the insurance cheque, so you can't spend what you don't have and that place was just not meant to be. We were nervous at the auction and weren't even bidding! It was a good learning experience being our first auction but I don't know how we'll manage when we are actually bidding! It is exciting though, looking for our own place again as it will be for you when the time comes. I had a routine mammogram on Thursday and get the results tomorrow, but I am sure all is well as they didn't do an ultrasound as well this time. I hope your gorgeous husband and darling girls are doing fine. Keep it up, kid, I just love reading your posts.
