Guest guest
I just got out of the room for a little bit and saw the chance to get online so here I am. We took Asenath to the ER on Sunday evening and they placed her in the hospital due to her inability to handle her viruses. She was dehydrated, had another ear infection, and was very immoble. Still trying to figure out how much damage was done with the SLE. She is walking for the first time this past hour. (It is Wednesday) and is all over the place. I took her down to therapy to see if there was one available to peak at her. Her OT did and said she left side and her trunk were definitely affected. also, strangely her gums are bright red. Any idea what this is? She won't eat or drink so they don't want to let her go home yet and are considering a NG tube until Mayo can place the G-tube. It has been a long, frustrating week! I will try to update again tomorrow, hopefully from home! I will have to go to the Appleton, WI library and read all about it. May be I can do that today after exercise class. May be my husband can pick Leah up from school so I will have time to savor it. I think I will make a copy of it or better yet will try to go online and read it. I think it is wonderful what you are doing. I will ask my mother in law if she saw the news. It is amazing what our children will encourage us to do (silently of course because they don't a reason why we are doing something). Meaning because of Leah's situation in being disabled I helped start a committee to get a fully accessible park built here in Appleton so disabled and able body children can play together. There is only one chair to use and not every disabled child can use it. So we are trying to raise $300,000 to build this awesome park this summer. I am in charge of a dinner theater fundraiser to hopefully raise around $7,000 to go toward this project. It is a joyful noise when you can accomplish something. We are each doing something to " voice " our opinions. Way to go. Nerenhausen mom to Leah PINE LAKE TOWNSHIP wrote: > , > > Did you see the article in the Star & Trib, Sunday. Front page.
