Hello to all,

It is important to support the chat room as you are able. It is just as

important to support the message board, and I thank you all for keeping the

posts up. I am particularly pleased to see the sharing of experience,

strength, and hope; sharing what it was like, what happened, and what it is

like now. This keeps the interaction positive and supportive.

The chat room is a good place to come if you don't feel comfortable writing

posts. The rules of grammar and writing are basically out the door, since

there isn't a spellchecker. It is like having a conversation. I would be

interested to hear some thoughts or ideas on the use of the chat room and how

it could better meet your needs. Does that time of day workable for you (and

your family)? Would it be helpful to have a couple of sessions have a

specific topic to help it stay focused? Tell me your ideas or thoughts.

The one thing that makes it difficult (or frustrating) for the host of the

chat room is showing up to a party and no one is there? I know that evenings

are very difficult for me, I have increased pain, very tired, etc. But if I

get on line to read or post I am going to try to make a point to go to the

chartroom. I want to show my support to the volunteers who show up as the

promised, have an opportunity to share something helpful to someone else, and

I might even get hooked.

I will be starting a morning chat room, not at all to distract from the

prime-time room, but to try and reach every one's needs. I just do better in

the morning. I am in bed by 7pm.

I do want to encourage all of you to go that extra effort to just drop by and

say hi to the chatters tonight. Just for a minute. We will look forward to

you. Maybe we can break a record. Sometimes, Mark, has invited a special

'speaker' to the chat room. When you hear this, please, please, do whatever

you have to make it a successful experience.

Thank you all. You are all such troopers.

God bless.

I have time during the day to help with the chat room if you need

someone. As a spouse of a CP person I am usually doing better than

he is and would love to get more involved. If you need anything

please email me. I like the idea of a morning chat room as that is

when all seven of my kids are gone! LOL
