Chest/shoulder pain?

I feel there is something being cut off in my left shoulder-vein,

artery...something? I think the doctors think I'm crazy when I say

this but I've been trying to figure out. My daughter and I just tried

it and it didn't work (holding my arm up). Is it possible it only

happens sometimes? Maybe it really is anxiety/panic that I am

suffering? How does one ever figure it out? Why do I " suddenly " get

so deathly ill? Does anyone else get this? Major-severe-deathly

nausea? It seems to be related to movement? If I stand up or am up

for any length of time I feel hideous...but not all the time, only

sometimes. I cannot make any rhyme or reason to it? My bicarbonate

levels were at 21 and should be at 24 but other than that... the

million tests came back normal.

Anne,

These are all questions that are too difficult for us to answer, and

how I wish we could answer them for you. But clearly, something is

very wrong with you, and I'm not entirely certain you will ever get

complete answers. I've never gotten complete answers for myself.

I personally (and this is my own medically-unqualified opinion) believe

that the reason we come up with normal tests is because the disruptions

to our health are chemical in nature (i.e.,for instance they can't

positively test multiple chemical sensitivity, yet these people are

deathly ill), and affect our endocrine system in ways that push our

hormonal outputs into subclinical ranges that are far from optimal, and

this may include the thyroid, adrenal and sex hormones. These are

rarely tested appropriately, or interpreted correctly for us.

I think the adrenal glands are particularly susceptible to damage. The

adrenal glands, of course, produce the hormones responsible for

our " fight or flight " response, and panic attacks, and are stressed

when we go through traumatic events, illness, surgery, and emotional

upheaval. Implants are stress to the body, because it fights them

24/7.

Let me give you an example of how this scenario with the hormones may

play out. Let's take the thyroid for an example, because I've seen

this happen. This could apply to the other hormones as well. Let me

just preface this by repeating what I've read in books regarding

hormone replacement therapy. You don't just want certain hormones in

normal ranges. You want them in optimal ranges.

Let's say that the normal range for a particular thyroid hormone is 0

to 5. (There are more than one.) Let's assume that anything over 5

shows a thyroid that is not working well. (I'm not being

specific...just giving an example here.) Let's say that when you are

healthy you've been tested, and in your particular case you test at 1.

For you, this is perfect, you feel great, and this is where it needs to

be.

You get sick. The doctor tests the thyroid hormone and finds that it's

at 4.5. The doctor sees that this is still under 5, and within range,

so he says, " you're normal. It's all good. " But for YOU, 4.5

represents a definite shift from your optimal number of 1. It's a

change that is not good, and indicates that your thyroid is struggling

and in need of support. But your doctor will not view it this way

because the lab report will indicate that your thyroid is performing

within normal ranges.

An astute doctor will recognize the need to evaluate hormonal tests in

the light of past test results, and if they are not available, to work

with you to determine if bio-identical replacement is in order to get

you to feel your best. After all, the litmus test for whether or not

ANY treatment is working is if YOU FEEL BETTER.

It's complicated and the sad thing is that there are very few doctors

who actually are intelligent or dedicated enough to work with you to

figure it out. If you have tons of money like Suzanne Somers, you can

afford to pay for the best, and work with the few doctors who do this

well. But for the average woman, it's a battle to have hormones

adequately monitored.

What I suggest is using supplements to support the endocrine system,

and avoiding stress. It takes about 2 years for the adrenal glands to

recover.

In case you are wondering where I got this information, it is from

several books, including Suzanne Somers books on hormone replacement

therapy, Dr. 's book on Adrenal Fatigue, Dr.

Vliet's books on hormone replacement, Dr. Uzzi Reiss's book on Natural

Hormone replacement, and Dr. Shames book, " Feeling Fat, Fuzzy

or Frazzled " . They all indicate that many of our symptoms can be

attributed to faulty, imbalanced hormones, and my guess is that this

downward spiral can occur at any time in our life after implantation,

due to the stress implants represent, the burden and activation of the

immune system, and the chemical, fungal and/or bacterial toxicity that

can occur. I can't figure out why otherwise, all tests are normal.

Paddy, I'm hoping you can get help soon.

Hugs,

Patty
