Guest guest
Hi all, Just doing a little more digging/research -- How do you pay for hearing aids and services in your state? Is it covered by insurance in your state (some states do pay)? Or Medicaid? Or a charitable organization? Or are you footing the bill yourself? I'm also curious about those of you whose children were identified through newborn screening. Does insurance cover aids and services because it is a " congenital birth defect " ? For those of you who do not know, I'm working on trying to get our state to pass legislation to mandate insurance coverage of hearing related services and equipment. It helps to know what other parents/states are doing. If you'd prefer, email me offline at ddduin@.... Thanks!!! Pam (AKA: Mom to Demi - 10 moderate sloping to severe/profound; Paige - 8 hearing; Ty - 4 hearing; Tristan - 18m - hearing)
