Guest guest
I use "Geico...fully insured $1100.00 a year. Regards, Tom insuring conversion van costs We just purchased an '08 Dodge Caravan SE with Braun entervan conversion. It has 2 automatic side doors, an automatic fold out side door. That side actually lowers down, kneeling. Basically I drive in my scooter, get off, and walk to the driver's side and sit in that seat. I do not require a transfer seat or hand brakes as yet. The conversion cost was $21,000. My question is how much should I insure that for? I was astonished at what my insurance co. quoted me. Any advice? Guest guest
Hey guys. We are going to be selling 1 of our cars soon so we can get 1 to be made accessable so I can drive. Has been almost 2 yrs. Anyway, can they only make bigger cars acessable? Cuz I was a lil car. Was hoping someone could shed some light. And does it always have to be done @ a dealership or can you buy some things @ a supply store? I dont know much about this but when I push my feet on gas or break it tremors terribly and to work the wheel wipes me out.I seen a lady with a special thing on her steering wheel were she just rested her arm on it and barely had 2 move.Looked like sumthn she may have picked up @ a store. But i need something for my feet too. How does that work?is it alot of $? Guest guest
Hi Cassy, Hand controls can be put in any car. You will need to contact somebody who knows how to do it. Maybe you can even do an internet search for installing and controls into a car. There's a paraplegic living in town who drives his own car. He has a power assist thing that he can operate from the driver's seat which will automatically load his wheel chair into the back seat. I haven't seen exactly how it works, but I know it can be done. Over the years, I've met enough sci people to know. SCI is Spinal Cord Injury.
